This policy explains what information CHAPTIQ collects and how it is used. CHAPTIQ is a page builder for small businesses: business owners create an account and a public page; their customers view that page without creating an account of their own.

Information from business owners

When you create a CHAPTIQ account and business page, we store:

  • Account information used for authentication, such as your email address.
  • Business profile information you provide — business name, category, description, phone number and location.
  • Product or service listings you add, including names, prices and descriptions.
  • Any images you upload for your business profile or listings.

Information from customers

Customers do not create an account and do not log in to view a business page. CHAPTIQ does not ask customers for their name, phone number, email, or any other personal details through the public page. The WhatsApp, Call and Directions buttons on a business page open WhatsApp, your phone's dialer, or a maps app directly — any conversation that follows happens between the customer and the business through their own channels, outside CHAPTIQ.

Like most web services, our hosting provider may log basic technical data (such as IP address and browser type) for security and performance purposes. This is standard infrastructure logging, not a customer database, and CHAPTIQ does not build customer profiles from it.

How this information is used

Business account and profile information is used to operate your CHAPTIQ page: authenticating you, displaying your business and product details publicly at your page URL, and generating your QR code. We do not sell business or customer information.

Where information is stored

CHAPTIQ is built on Supabase for authentication, database and file storage, and is deployed on Vercel. Your account credentials, business data and uploaded images are stored with these providers under their respective security and data-handling practices.

Your public page is public

Anything you add to your business profile and listings — name, description, prices, photos, phone number and location — is visible to anyone who has your page link or scans your QR code. Don't include information you don't want publicly visible.

Changes to this policy

As CHAPTIQ's features change, this policy will be updated to reflect what data is actually collected and how it is used.
